Night of the Libraries in Germany
On Friday, April 4, 2025, the Night of the Libraries took place for the first time nationwide in Germany.
With the motto “Knowledge. Share. Discover.”, small and large libraries, special libraries, public and academic libraries opened their doors on the first Friday evening in April 2025 and invited people to discover the wide range of services and offers in libraries.
With the Night of the Libraries, the German Library Association and its 16 state associations want to draw nationwide attention to the wide range of offers and services provided by libraries and invite people to experience their libraries in a new way.
Elke Büdenbender is the patron of the nationwide Night of Libraries.
